Our stories, beliefs, and perspectives create much of our experiences.

The things we tell ourselves are true or “the way things are” tend to create how we then take action and navigate tricky situations. Let’s get clear on what is really true and what you want to choose as you go forward.

Most of this work revolves around just a few questions:

  1. Is it true? (How do you know for sure?)

  2. Is it reasonable to believe the opposite could be true?

  3. Who would you be without that thought/story?

The following three exercises are all slightly different approaches for understanding your current perspective, looking at your options, and then choosing a new one. I recommend trying out all three approaches to see which one resonates with you or which exercise brings up new ideas or insights.

What am I gathering evidence for currently?

What am I overlooking?

What am I choosing?

WORDS

Watch your thoughts, they become your words;

watch your words, they become your actions;

watch your actions, they become your habits;

watch your habits, they become your character;

watch your character, it becomes your destiny.
